Fair Usage Policy
Pixport offers unlimited estimates, invoices, jobs, and customers. This policy explains what "unlimited" means in practice, so the platform stays fast and fair for every business that relies on it.
Last updated: July 29, 2026
Purpose
We built Pixport so growing field-service businesses never have to count invoices or worry about hitting a customer cap. Unlimited features work because virtually everyone uses them for normal business operations.
This policy exists for the rare cases where usage goes far beyond running a business — patterns that would slow the platform down for everyone else.
What's unlimited
Estimates, invoices, jobs, and customer records are genuinely unlimited for normal business use. Create as many as your business needs — there are no hidden caps, tiers, or per-record fees on any plan.
Photo and document storage
Every account includes a generous storage allowance of approximately 100 GB for job photos and documents — enough for years of photo-heavy work for the vast majority of businesses.
If your account ever approaches that allowance, we will contact you first to talk through options before any limit applies. Nothing gets deleted or blocked without a conversation.
SMS and two-way texting
Texting in Pixport is designed for conversational communication with your own customers: appointment reminders, job updates, estimates, and replies. Reasonable business volumes are fully supported.
It is not a bulk marketing tool. Mass marketing blasts, cold outreach to purchased or scraped contact lists, and any messaging your recipients have not consented to are outside fair use — and often illegal under laws like the TCPA.
AI assistant and AI photo categorization
AI features are included for everyday use: categorizing your job photos, drafting messages, and answering questions about your data. Fair per-user volumes apply to prevent abuse — limits set well above what a busy team uses in practice.
Automated scripting of AI features, or using them for workloads unrelated to your business in Pixport, falls outside fair use.
API and Zapier
Our API and Zapier integration are rate-limited to keep the platform responsive for everyone. The limits comfortably support real-world automations like syncing contacts or triggering workflows.
Using the API to scrape, mirror, or bulk-replicate the service, or to build a competing product from Pixport data, is not permitted.
Prohibited patterns
A few things are never fair use: sending spam or unsolicited bulk messages, reselling or sharing access to your account outside your business, creating accounts in bulk through automation, and using Pixport storage as a dumping ground for files unrelated to your work in the platform.
How we enforce this policy
If we see usage that looks out of bounds, our first step is always to reach out and talk. Most of the time it is a misunderstanding or a workflow we can help optimize — and that is the end of it.
Throttling is a last resort, applied only if we cannot reach you or the usage is actively degrading the service for others. Account termination is reserved for willful, repeated abuse after we have asked you to stop.
Changes to this policy
As Pixport grows, we may adjust these guidelines. If a change could meaningfully affect how you use the service, we will notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
